Volunteering
Every year, during the spring and autumn seasons, we organize various volunteer work events that are essential for maintaining and preserving the landscape of the Curonian Spit. These tasks require significant community involvement and hands-on work, so assistance is always needed:
- protection of open habitats from overgrowth by removing young pine saplings.;
- installing sand traps, which are necessary for the preservation of white dunes;
- the destruction of invasive plant species, such as Scotch Broom or Rose Hip;
- other necessary work, such as collecting trash from the beach etc.
We kindly invite groups who are able and willing to spend half a day for the preservation of the Curonian Spit!
